PROJECT STORY
The gardens belong to the architecture.
The photographic challenge
At Mirum Villas, the landscape is as visually important as the buildings. Curved paths, planted areas, pergolas and pools form the spaces between the interiors and the bay. My priority is to show those connections without reducing the project to either room photographs or garden views. The collection also moves between daylight and evening, with different materials and colours needing to remain consistent.
My approach
I begin with the spaces around the pool, where woven seating, planting and the villa can be read together. Elevated views explain the broader arrangement, while ground-level compositions bring attention to the gardens and outdoor dining areas. The sheltered bay provides context beyond the immediate terraces.
Aerial photographs show the pool, pergola and curved garden paths from a more graphic perspective. They give the interior and garden views a clear position within the property. I use that context sparingly, alongside photographs that describe how the spaces feel at eye level.
Inside, the collection includes open living and dining rooms, kitchens and bedrooms with different palettes. White sofas and glass tables create a quieter arrangement in one room; a stone fireplace, timber ceiling and bookshelves bring a warmer character to another. The bedrooms introduce blue and pink textiles and timber details. I let these differences remain visible while keeping the perspective and colour treatment consistent.
The garden images draw attention to sculpted trees, flower beds, palms and stone paths. They show that the outdoor design has its own structure and detail. The evening dining areas add another layer, with light beneath vine-covered pergolas giving the terraces a more intimate scale.
The closing blue-hour photographs bring the white facade and pool back together. Familiar architectural forms take on a different mood, with the lighting and water carrying more of the composition.
The result
The selection presents Mirum Villas in Crete, Greece, through the relationship between architecture, interiors and landscaped outdoor space. For owners and hospitality teams, that range helps communicate the property as a coherent setting. My villa photography brings architectural accuracy and attention to atmosphere into the same collection, with aerial context supporting the more personal views of rooms and terraces.
