Intermezzo — Boutique Studio Photography in Santorini

Intermezzo is a boutique studio in Santorini, in the Cyclades, Greece. This photographic collection brings together its furnished interiors and courtyard, following the relationship between white vaulted spaces, decorative details and outdoor living. Blue and pale green accents give the rooms a distinct character against the textured white surfaces.

Vaulted interiors and decorative detail

Broad views describe the connection between the sitting, dining and sleeping areas. Curved ceilings and arched recesses frame the furnishings, while chandeliers, draped windows and decorative plates add texture and rhythm. White cabinetry and lattice fronts keep the kitchenette visually integrated with the adjoining rooms.

Closer compositions focus on patterned cushions, framed prints, sculptural objects and the contrast between pale fabrics and darker decorative pieces. In the sleeping areas, blue upholstery and soft canopies introduce a more intimate scale. The photographs balance daylight with the warmth of the lamps, retaining the shape and texture of the interiors.

The courtyard and entrance

The courtyard extends the photographic sequence outside. The white facade is punctuated by individual stone inserts, with cream curtains suspended from a pergola above the entrance. Two large dark pots anchor the front elevation, while pale blue chairs and a glass table introduce an outdoor sitting and dining area.

A further courtyard view records blue doors and windows, planting and an exterior staircase with a rope handrail. Together, these images describe the transition between the accommodation and its outdoor spaces, from a complete view of the facade to the details around the entrance.

Photography for boutique hospitality

I photographed Intermezzo through a combination of wider compositions and closer observations. The wider views explain how the spaces connect; the details communicate the furnishings, colour and atmosphere that distinguish the studio. Controlled perspective and a natural balance of light keep the architecture clear throughout the collection.

The complete sequence comprises 14 photographs, including interior views, sleeping areas, decorative details and the courtyard. The entrance photograph opens the project, introducing the white facade and flowing curtains before the series moves indoors.
