Blue Sky House

The photographic challenge

Blue Sky House brings together a distinctive blue exterior, compact guest spaces and colourful interior details. For accommodation photography, the wider views need to explain the rooms clearly, while closer frames convey the character that a guest might remember.

My approach

The exterior photographs introduce the house through its balcony, timber shutters and paved forecourt. Inside, views across the bedrooms, sitting areas and kitchens describe how the spaces connect. Artwork, pendant lights and patterned tiles provide colour and texture without obscuring the arrangement of each room.

I include both broad interior compositions and smaller details: the bathroom basin, a bedside light and a dining table seen from above. The balcony and terrace photographs carry the sequence outdoors, with views towards the sea and tables prepared for breakfast or a quiet drink.

The final portrait photographs bring together the sign, balcony and interior details, keeping the closing section visually consistent.

Commissioned by the property owner, this collection presents Blue Sky House as holiday accommodation in Pylos, Peloponnese, Greece. The photographs describe its guest spaces and exterior setting, with attention to natural colour, clear composition and the atmosphere of the property.
