Audrion Wine Bar

The photographic challenge

A wine bar has several visual layers: the overall interior, its lighting, the bottles and glassware, and the working spaces behind the guest areas. Audrion's pendant lights and timber shelving give those layers a strong rhythm. My concern is to retain the atmosphere without losing the room's arrangement. Reflective bottles, hanging glasses and metal surfaces ask for a different treatment from the wider dining views.

My approach

I introduce the venue through the pendant-lit dining area and bar. That wider view establishes the proportions and the relationship between furniture, lighting and the counter. The tall windows give another reading of the room, bringing the daytime character into the collection.

The wine display room changes the scale. A central tasting table sits within the surrounding bottles, providing a clear focus while the shelving describes the space around it. Closer photographs of wine, glassware and timber give attention to the objects that make the interior particular to this venue.

I use the repetition of bottles and suspended glasses to organise those compositions. Their reflections remain visible, but the arrangement needs to be easy to read. The photograph of champagne on ice adds a different surface and texture beside the illuminated counter.

The kitchen is included as part of the overall account. Stainless-steel equipment and working surfaces show another side of the business, beyond the dining and display areas. It brings useful variety into a collection otherwise centred on hospitality atmosphere.

Across the sequence, I keep the architecture and the smaller details connected. The close photographs have more meaning when the viewer has already seen the room in which they belong.

The result

This Athens project brings my commercial and interior photography approach to a hospitality space with a distinct identity. The collection gives venue owners and design professionals both an overall view and supporting details of lighting, materials and presentation. My aim is to communicate what is visible and particular to the place, with the warmth of the interior retained alongside clear spatial information.
