PROJECT STORY
Geometry, glass and a private courtyard.
The photographic challenge
The villa’s angular roofline and long glazed frontage give the exterior a strong graphic identity. Inside, open living spaces connect directly with a sheltered pool courtyard. The collection brings those relationships together, showing the building’s proportions alongside the more intimate character of its rooms.
My approach
Aerial views establish the villa’s form and its position within the hillside. Closer photographs follow the white planes, terraces and pool, where turquoise water and planting soften the geometry.
Inside, the staircase and glazing create clear lines through the living area. I give those lines room within the composition, while retaining the colour of the seating, artwork and surrounding greenery. Bedroom and courtyard views extend the sequence beyond the principal reception spaces.
Daylight, sunset and night photographs offer different readings of the same architecture. The evening images reveal the illuminated roofline and the connection between the living room and pool, while the daylight views keep materials and spatial relationships easy to understand.
The result
Photographed for Engel & Völkers, the series presents the villa through exterior, interior and aerial views. It balances a clear architectural description with the quieter details of residential life: a seat beside the pool, a bedroom opening to a terrace and the change of atmosphere after sunset.
